At "Unboxing Y Europe 2024 - Unlocking the EP Elections", young people come together to build a toolbox and campaigns for the European elections within a few days. The aim is to use their own ideas and tools to encourage other young people to engage with the European elections - and voting in general as a democratic process - and to empower each other to participate in the process.

How is this done?

In a three-day co-creation seminar, the participants - supported by the EAB team and external experts from the fields of politics and youth work - develop their own ideas and tools, which they can then take back to their peer group.

The following modules are part of the project week:

•     Introduction to design thinking
•     Development of their own toolbox or campaign for the European elections
•     Exchange with experts and representatives of NGOs and associations
•     Getting to know Berlin with a focus on "living democracy"

Depending on the group of applicants, the project will be implemented in English or German. The costs for participation are fully covered.

Requirements

•    You are between 19 and 28 years old.
•     You currently live in an EU country.
•     You are interested in the topics of political participation and the European Union and want to learn together with other young people.
•     You are motivated to work on your own project and tool and to finalize it in 1-2 digital sessions after the project week.
